Haw Par Villa

Built in 1937, Haw Par Villa is famous for its often gruesome depictions of Chinese folklore’s 18 Courts of Hell. Located on a hill in Pasir Panjang, Haw Par Villa is named after the Burma-born Aw brothers, who created the medical ointment Tiger Balm.

Jurong Bird Park

Thow Kwang Industry Pte Ltd

Thow Kwang is one of two surviving dragon’s kilns in Singapore; both are in the same street, owing to their proximity to the white clay that was once used on site. Known colloquially as Jungle Pottery, Thow Kwang’s lush and spacious grounds have for many years been home to a one-stop shop for ceramic pots, lamps, tableware and more. What’s not so well known is the significance and provenance of the historic dragon kiln that was once part of a flourishing ceramics industry.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is a small 1.64 square kilometre (400 acre) nature reserve near the geographic centre of the city-state of Singapore, located on the slopes of Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore’s highest hill standing at a height of 163.63 metres, and parts of the surrounding area. Bukit Batok Nature Park

Bukit Batok Nature Park is a 36-hectare urban park in Bukit Batok, Singapore. It is situated near Bukit Batok East Avenue 2, Bukit Batok East Avenue 6, and Lorong Sesuai.

Bukit Batok Nature Park Walking Trail

This 36-hectare park offers a trail that meanders through a well-established secondary forest. As you walk through the forest, look out for interesting trees highlighted in this guide. This park holds some historical significance. It was once mined for granite; the quarry has since become a large reflecting pool. As you embark on the ascent to the top of the hill, stop at the lookout points that offer vantage views of the quarry pool. This trail also takes you to a war memorial at the top of the hill, and to the quarry pool at its foot.

Old Ford Motor Factory

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is Singapore’s first ASEAN Heritage Park since 2003 where it was recognized as a site of international importance for migratory birds. During migatory seasons, September to March, you may catch sight of rare shorebirds or waders including plovers and sandpipers.

KhaiSeng Trading & Fish Farm

KhaiSeng Trading & Fish Farm Pte Ltd is the only fish farm in Singapore that obtained a license from Agri-food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore to operate a retail outlet on its own premises. The 3.8 ha farm breeds and rears fish like giant snakeheads, grouper, red tilapia, bullfrog, patin, toman and grass carp. The fish are bred in ponds, and before they are sold, will be moved to concrete tanks in the retail section for a few days so they can be detoxified.

Singapore’s only goat farm is open to the public. Take in the sights and sounds of goats in various stages in life. The kids can buy hay from the main shop and feed the goats.
